The Circulation Department provides three major services, which includes users registrations, charging and discharging of books. Users are granted borrowing tickets upon registration, which allow them to loan books for certain periods based on the user’s status.
Provision is given for renewal at the patron’s request. However, if there are limited copies of information resources in high demand, they are placed on reserve. This is done to guarantee that the material is distributed. Any loss of a borrower’s ticket should be reported promptly to the Readers’ Services Librarian. To prevent mutilation or outright theft of information items, reprographic and printing services are provided
Reference transactions are information sessions in which library personnel suggest, interpret, assess, and/or use information resources to assist others in meeting specific information needs.

Depending on the amount of enquiries received, the reference librarian may respond to questions in less than a day or more.
The Electronic Library is located in the first floor of main library. The Electronic Services offers facilities for students to conduct research, study, and work. It has a seating capacity of over 60.
Wireless access and power for students’ laptops is provided, desktops PC’s are installed for the general use of the patrons. Personnel working in the elibrary gives general information about the resources and the activities. The Electronic collections are mostly on-line and our services are mostly provided digitally. However, we also have offline collections.
The Elibrary also provides 3 services: Information Literacy, Digital Reference and Information Services, and Research services.
The Bindery Department offers custom binding services for theses, dissertations, and special projects. Students and faculty can choose from a variety of binding options to suit their needs.
We provide high-quality binding services for both new acquisitions and older materials that require rebinding due to wear and tear. This includes hardcover and softcover binding to ensure durability and longevity.
Our skilled staff are adept at repairing damaged books, including mending torn pages, reattaching loose covers, and reinforcing weakened spines. We also restore rare and valuable materials to their former condition, preserving them for future use.
The Serials Department oversees the journals, newspapers, magazines, theses, and other periodicals that complement Central’s curriculum and supplement the general monograph and reference collections. The Serials Department handles most serials collection management activities, from acquisition through shelving to withdrawal. Employees in the Serials Department assist patrons in using the serials collection and run the Periodicals Help Desk.
